Since childhood, I have been interested in history, especially modern and medieval. I ended up pursuing medieval history, studying it at Masaryk University in Brno and, thanks to my dissertation, submitted and defended under a cotutelle agreement between Masaryk University and Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich, I also obtained Czech and German doctorates. Since 2026, I have been employed as a lecturer and researcher at the Faculty of Arts at the Charles University in Prague.
In recent years, I have been most fascinated by the world of the Crusades, a pan-European phenomenon of the High and Late Middle Ages, which continues to resonate, both positively and negatively, to this day.
