I was born into a family of woodcarvers. My parents Jiří Netík and Martina Netíková thus taught my brother Jakub and me the art and craft of woodcarving from an early age. Inspired by history, people, and the beauty of wood itself, I have been a professional woodcarver for more than ten years. I create both for my own collection and on commission, and let some of my works are also cast in bronze. My sculptures and reliefs are represented in private collections in the Czech Republic and abroad, but the easiest place to see them is in the Netík’s family studio in Slavonice, Czech Republic, at Horní náměstí 514.

I enjoy and find fulfillment in passing on my craft to others – in recent years, I have been organizing and leading woodcarving courses for the general public in Slavonice.
